Fun Lauderdale

Privacy Policy

Effective: November 5, 2026 · Big Show Systems LLC

Fun Lauderdale is a free local guide to fun things to do around Fort Lauderdale, run by Big Show Systems LLC (“we”). This page explains, in plain words, what the site collects, why, and where it goes.

Browsing needs no account

You do not need an account, a login or any personal information to browse places and events, keep an outing on your device, get directions or visit official venue websites.

If you create an account

To create an account we ask for your email address and a password. They go straight from your browser to our sign-in provider (see “Who stores your information”), which sends a confirmation email to the address you give. While you are signed in, your browser keeps a sign-in token in its local storage so you stay signed in; signing out removes it. My Fun stores the usual area, interests and email opt-outs you choose with your account. Only you can open those preferences in My Fun. Pinning a listing does not subscribe you to email.

Outings on this device

Your outing is stored in this browser’s local storage on this device, without an account. It contains the places and events you selected, their order and the selected event dates, times and venues. You can remove stops in My outing or clear your browser’s site data to remove the stored outing.

Sharing an outing link

In a shared outing, our database holds the selected listings, their order, participant display names and each person’s Must-do or If-it-fits marks. Other people you invite can see those details. A view link opens the shared choices. A contributor invitation can be used once within 48 hours. The outing owner can remove collaborators and revoke a view link. Account preferences stay separate from the outing.

Older snapshot links contain the selected stops and event dates, times and venues in their URL. When browser storage is available, opening a non-empty outing link saves its selections only if this device has no saved outing or the same outing; otherwise, choose “Replace my saved outing” to replace it. Anyone with that link can open the outing, and the site reads the selected listings to show their current details. Opening a link sends its URL to our hosting provider, whose request logs may include it. The link is not private or password-protected. Removing stops on your device does not change those older snapshot links.

Submissions, claims and corrections

Signed-in visitors can submit an event or place, claim a listing, or suggest a correction. What you type (such as the name, category, neighborhood, date, time, venue or address, price, an image link, a short description and tags) is stored linked to your account and goes into a review queue. It is used only to review the listing and keep the directory accurate. It stays hidden from the public until one of our admins approves it; an approved submission is published on the site. Your email address is not published with it.

Where listing information comes from

Business listings come from our business records and reviewed public sources; event listings come from organizers’ public calendars and reviewed submissions. Business records are kept in our customer system on GoHighLevel and synced to the site’s database. Account details and device outings are not sent to that customer system by the site. If you represent a business and something is wrong, use “Claim or fix this listing” on its page.

Other services your browser connects to

Your browser connects to external services for typefaces, local weather and listing photos. The weather request is for Fort Lauderdale, never your location. Those services receive your IP address and standard browser information under their own privacy policies. Links to maps, venue websites and social media take you to services with their own policies.

Cookies and tracking

The site’s own code adds no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Your location is requested only when you choose “Use my location” and allow your browser to share it; the coordinates are used on your device to sort nearby places. It uses your browser’s local storage for the sign-in token, device outing and display preferences. Our hosting provider may keep standard request logs. Our hosting provider sets a session cookie needed to run the site.

Who stores your information

The site is hosted on GoHighLevel AI Studio. Accounts and submissions are stored in its Cloud database, which is built on Supabase. Device outings stay in browser storage. Shared outings and member preferences are stored in the Cloud database. These providers store and process account and submission information on our behalf to run the site.

Keeping and deleting your information

Deleting your account does not clear an outing stored on your device or an older snapshot link. Clear your browser’s site data to remove the device copy. Deleting an organizer’s account removes their shared outing and retires its links. Deleting an invited member’s account removes their name and marks from that outing. The other participants can keep its selected public listings. Submissions stay in the directory’s records but are no longer linked to your account. There is no self-serve delete button yet: to delete your account, or to ask what we hold about you, email info@funlauderdale.com.

Changes and contact

When the site changes what it collects, we will update this page and its effective date. Questions about privacy: info@funlauderdale.com. See also our Terms of Use.
